PV 75 Offshore Patrol Vessel design is economical to construct, maintain and operate yet provides a high degree of utility, safety and crew comfort on long patrols. The vessel is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping as ABS+A1E+AMS, and meets or exceeds US Navy criteria, including the Ocean Service 1(a) requirement that it be able to weather the full force of tropical cyclones, this being, for design purposes to comprise a minimum assumed wind speed of 100 knots on the beam. The main duties of this vessel is to carry out search and rescue operations, patrolling exclusive economic zone, prevent and detect any illegal activities within the maritime zone.
